For over ten years, the Explore Board has been meeting and collaborating to create a state-of-the-art educational museum that inspires imaginative play and promotes the health and well-being of all children and families of the Pee Dee region.

In 2020, The City of Florence, graciously granted the Explore Board the opportunity to occupy the former “Science South” structure at the Freedom Florence Complex and its adjacent green space as the future site for the next five years.

To make this opportunity a reality, renovations and upgrades will be needed in the current space.
